Will requirements for the Bulgarian golden visa change?

Now that Bulgaria has become a full member of the Schengen area, will the residency requirements change? Will it be harder to apply or could the investment amount increase?

There are no plans to amend the conditions of the Bulgarian Golden Visa program yet. It is indeed so that after the admission of Bulgaria to the Schengen area, the Bulgarian residence permit became one of the most sought-after in the EU. The Bulgarian Golden Visa program is currently one of the most attractive options in the EU as its conditions are superior than any other EU alternative program. The Bulgarian program is not being marketed as aggressively as other Golden Visa programs and this enables the Bulgarian government to be able to maintain its current favorable conditions.
